Bar Association Presentation: Hot Topics in Museum Law

The Art and Entertainment Section of the Minnesota Bar Association will host a presentation on museum law as part of the section’s monthly continuing legal education programming. The presentation — “Hot Topics in Museum Law” — will be given by Walter G. Lehmann, managing partner of Lehmann PLC, at the Minnesota Museum of Art on October 18. Lehmann holds a Masters in Museum Studies from George Washington University and is a co-author of the book Rights and Reproductions: a Handbook for Museums and Cultural Institutions. He has taught courses in art and museum law at Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University and Mitchell Hamline law school. He will be teaching at Case Western Reserve University Law School in the spring of 2020. After the “Hot Topics” program, a curator from the Minnesota Museum of Art will give a tour of the museum’s current exhibit.
